Its really hard to believe that this classic American Automobile
that went from thought to production in less 18 months was not only
an instant hit, it became an icon if you will, a collector piece, a
car that everyone wants in their garage for one reason or another.
Ford wanted a car to compete in the sports car world and Lee
Iacocca made it in to reality. A car that weighs no more than 2500
pounds, shorter than 180" and sell for less than $2500 with
multiple outlets for power, comfort and luxury options. This
classic Mustang is in very nice condition receiving an AACA award
over twenty years ago when it was fresh out of a restoration. It
has remained in long term ownership with excellent care and climate
controlled storage. This is a 289/automatic/two-barrel car that
starts on a dime, idles perfectly, smokes nothing and goes down the
road with ease. This is a power top, power steering car with all
lights and gauges in working order. The top was newer at time of
restoration and it also appears, that everything else was touch on
the car down to the attention to detail in the engine compartment.
Now, obviously this is not a fresh restoration any more and has had
about 30,000 miles of use since, but still shows very presentable
and would be a crown favorite at your local and regional car
show.....or take it to the next level pretty quickly if you so
desire. Me personally, I would just drive it as is and enjoy every
