For Sale: 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

1st place at World of Wheels! This is a #s match big block that has undergone a frame off restoration with some tasteful custom upgrades. It was built by Lucky 13 Hot Rods, builders of high end custom cars. It won the award March of 2023, only 3,100 miles since finished.

EXTERIOR: This is one slick looking truck! The paint, wheels and stance are awesome. Very desirable short bed. The body is show quality: absolutely straight with no rust or damage. Everything fits real nicely. Bright red and bright white paint are both polished like glass. It has all the deluxe trim; it looks like new. All new glass, it's tinted. All the weather strips and gaskets were replaced. It has halo headlights, LED taillights and marker lights. Hot looking set of 20 inch Redline polished wheels with performance tires, extra wide in back.

INTERIOR: I think this is what really sold me, it's a real sharp looking custom interior. TMI custom door panels, dash pad, seats, and center console. They are custom contoured and wrapped in leather and suede. The interior metal is painted slick like the exterior. Electronic analog gauges light up red and has a tachometer and a clock. All the bezels, vents, knobs were replaced. Vintage Air electronic controls. Modern handsfree stereo with kick panel speakers. Behind the seats it has speakers, tweeters, and sub woofers. The original sticker is still on the inside of the glove box door listing the options it was born with. Sharp looking steering wheel on a tilt column. It has optional headliner and visors, working dome light.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has its original 402 big block according to the dates and codes on the engine block. Upgraded with an Edelbrock intake and Holly Sniper electronic fuel injection. It has a hot cam and a remote vacuum pump to compensate for it. Billet distributor with electronic ignition and a set of headers. The front of the motor has a True Track runner system with billet brackets and pulleys, a serpentine belt, polished a/c compressor and alternator. It also has a modern polished power steering pump with stainless braided hoses and a remote reservoir. A big aluminum radiator with two electric fans and an overflow bottle keeps it running cool. Wilwood power brake system. All new wiring harness. The engine bay is painted like glass. Real nice set of billet hinges, custom filler panel in front of the radiator and aluminum valve covers.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's a very usable truck bed. On top is a hard tonneau cover painted as slick as the truck. It locks and is weatherproof. Inside is solid and it's sprayed with a bed liner so you can actually throw things in there and not worry. The fuel filler is also relocated to the floor.

UNDERSIDE: It was body off frame restored. Complete new suspension which is squatted down. The steering was rebuilt. Completely upgraded Wilwood Big brake kit with drilled and slotted disc at all four wheels, 6 piston calipers in front. Custom stainless steel exhaust with crossover pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and polished tips. Custom relocated fuel tank under the truck. Looking up at the motor, it's clean Chevy Orange, starter looks new. Upgraded 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission. A rebuilt drive shaft connects to a posi rear.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and fixed a vacuum leak, tuned the injection system, repaired the ground to the wiper motor and repaired a turn signal socket.

What would you change? Nothing! This truck is gorgeous in and out! A factory big block, top of the line Cheyenne Super with all the right upgrades. I would say this isa show and go truck, I wouldn't let it just sit in the garage.
