Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present this beautiful 1963 Chevrolet
II Nova SS convertible! This Chevy underwent a rotisserie
restoration a few years ago and it emerged as perhaps an even nicer
car than when it was built. It is dressed in a high-driver quality
base coat/clear coat respray of Ermine White - its original color.
This car is dressed with quite a bit of chrome and bright work to
accent the white paint and catch the eye. The front end gleams in
the light with a chrome bumper, headlight bezels, and grill that
all look great. Bright features continue on the sides of the car
where you'll see trim running the length of the car on the top body
line edge, rocker panel trim, and another trim piece in the center
from tip to tail. There are dual chrome side mirrors, bright door
handles, chrome gas cap, and very nice trim on all of the windows
and convertible top surround. Speaking of the top - it is a working
power top made of black vinyl with a plastic rear window and it
looks brank new. Both sides feature 327 badges on the front fenders
and NOVA SS script on the rear quarters. In the rear is a
silver-painted section above the bumper on the vertical deck-lid
wall with a chrome trim surrounding it, and tail lights and Nova SS
badging contained in it (a very cool SS-only feature). This whole
package sits proudly atop factory wheels with original re-chromed
wheel covers and SS center caps wrapped in Hankook Optimo H724
tires. In 1963 this Nova SS was born with an inline 6-cylinder
engine, but under the hood today is a 327ci V-8 with a 4-bolt main.
The V-8 is topped with finned aluminum valve covers with a
cross-flags logo, an Edelbrock intake, a 4-barrel carburetor, and a
chrome air cleaner with 327ci 300hp sticker. The original
transmission was a 2-speed Powerglide, but the 327 is now mated to
a TH350 3-speed automatic with an open rear gear. The engine bay is
clean, organized, and painted black. Other highlights under the
hood include a Champion aluminum radiator, power steering, cast
exhaust manifolds, chrome shock tower supports, electronic
ignition, and a nicely painted orange block. Underneath you'll
notice an exceptionally clean undercarriage as well as a newer dual
exhaust and gas tank. Stopping power is better than factory with
power discs in front with drilled slotted rotors and drums in the
rear. When you open the drivers door, the under-dash and console
courtesy lights come on to illuminate a beautiful red interior. The
first thing I noticed was that the door gaskets and window felts
were all like new and the door sill looked very nice. The door
panels are factory-correct with gleaming bright accents on the
doors as well as the handle and window crank. The front bucket
seats are dressed in red vinyl and they look like they've never
been sat in. The rear bench seat is in the same immaculate
condition. Between the seats is a console with a storage slot, a
drink holder, and the shifter. The chrome shift plate remains from
the Powerglide transmission and it looks amazing with its white
shift ball. The floor is covered with red hook loop carpet in
excellent condition. The driver is treated to a crack-free 2-spoke
red steering wheel with SS center-cap, horn ring, and bright accent
bands. To make it even nicer, the steering wheel is mounted on a
tilt column. Ahead of the wheel is a stunning dash with a
crack-free vinyl dash pad, newer OEM-style gauges that all work
(including the clock!), a bright accent spear that runs
horizontally side-to-side, a Retro sound-style AM/FM radio, and a
glove-box with Nova SS badge and working interior light. Heat and
fan controls work, as do the 2-speed wipers. Back in the trunk,
you'll find a custom hook loop carpeted mat, a red boot for the
convertible top, and a spare tire. If you're looking for a 63 Nova
convertible you'll be hard-pressed to find another true SS at this
level of restoration. The slick Ermine White paint, the brilliant
bright work, the flawless interior, the new power top, the strong
running 327 - this Chevy really checks all the boxes! Don't wait to
call, this Nova is sure to find a new home quickly!
