Chevrolet SSR Convertible Pickup now offered for sale from the
MaxMotive Pittsburgh Showroom. 2006 was the final year for the SSR
and this example is from the Final Production Run as indicated on a
special badge on the interior waterfall. It was built during the
final two weeks of SSR production. And it's well preserved, as the
odometer reads a mere 116 miles. As a 2006 with the Tremec 6-speed
manual, its 400 horsepower is the most ever produced on an SSR from
the factory. Adding to the special nature of the vehicle is the
Bright Chrome Package - offered as an option only during the 2006
model year. With this package, every trim piece inside and out is
chrome adding an exclusive custom feel to the SSR. It provides a
beautiful blend with the Ricochet Silver Metallic exterior paint
with body-color running boards. The wheels are the chrome versions
as well. The elegant interior is in Smoking Asphalt with leather
seating surfaces. Among the other options lavished on this example
are the chrome gauge package. This, by the way, contains a torque
gauge - seldom seen in any but the most exotic vehicles. It also
has optional cargo trim with carpeting and wooden slats, customized
floor mats, and an AM/FM Stereo with In-dash 6 disc CD changer, and
Bose Premium Sound. The engineering behind the retractable hardtop
is impressive. Transitioning to open-air motoring takes just 20
seconds. GM, ASC, and Karmann USA combined resources to create the
body, which also features deep draw stamping-formed front fenders
for a classic truck look, plus a power-operated deck lid. Wouldn't
