Vehicle Description
Inspired by the movie that featured what is still one of the most
talked about car chases in cinematic history, this 2008 Ford
Mustang Bullitt GT represents a rare opportunity. Its special
edition status equips it with a number of welcome upgrades - as
well as bona fide collectability - and it greets the present in
strong fashion, having been lightly driven and consistently
well-cared for over the years.
Just as was the case when that singular fastback emerged on the
silver screen to the collective awe of classic car aficionados
everywhere, this Mustang wears Highland Green paint, arguably one
of the most coveted colors in its storied history. Take a closer
look at this sharp ride and you'll see the styling cues that bring
back memories of its classic forefathers - its sloping rear
roofline with louvres on the sides instantly conjures up images of
the Mustangs of the late 1960s. Dressed in such an evocative shade,
the exterior is already very appealing and a cut and buff session
at the hands of a skilled detailer would take things to an even
higher level. You'll notice the absence of chrome trim - Lt. Frank
Bullitt's ride didn't wear any chrome to speak of, either. That,
combined with the set of sharp looking wheels this car rides on,
gives it a decidedly aftermarket appearance, but luckily its
previous owners resisted the temptation to add any unwarranted
modifications, so it remains in the same configuration it left the
factory with. Why mess with a winning formula, after all?
Climb inside and you'll notice a variety of tasteful distinctions
that set this Mustang apart from its more commonly encountered
stablemates. Its front bucket seats take their design from the
Shelby GT500s of its era and, just beyond the special edition
steering wheel, a striking aluminum panel with a machine-turned
pattern spans the width of the cabin. There is also an assembly of
clear, functional gauges in the instrument cluster that includes a
font very reminiscent of those in classic Mustangs. The comfort and
convenience features that you'd want in a frequent driver are all
present and accounted for - air conditioning that blows cold and
strong, power seats, power door locks, windows and mirrors and
cruise control. Front and center on the dash, you'll also find a
premium Shaker 500 AM/FM/cassette stereo that teams with a CD
changer to accommodate your audio requests. In back, the fresh
appearance of the trunk area is another indication of the careful
use this special edition Mustang has received - it looks virtually
untouched.
A fuel injected 4.6-liter stands by under the hood, ready to spring
into action. Due to its light usage over the years, the engine is
in its mechanical prime, and by virtue of this GT's special edition
status, it received a special tuning upon leaving the factory to
add 15 horses to its already substantial 300 horsepower output. The
engine pairs with a 5-speed manual Tremec 3650 transmission that
puts full control of its output in the hands of the driver. This
car is really a lot of fun to drive - its power becomes evident
right off the bat and it's running smoothly. With upgraded shocks
and springs, as well as a strut tower brace in place to reduce body
flex, this Mustang is well-equipped for spirited cornering. This
great looking Pony Car rides on a set of 18" special edition wheels
that are wrapped with BF Goodrich tires showing plenty of
tread.
With its combination of undeniable curb appeal, strong running
condition and special edition collectability, this 2008 Ford
Mustang Bullitt GT is a definite must see. Call today!
