To build a top-shelf street rod, you must begin with a vision. When
done correctly, the result will be on par with this 1932 Ford
Highboy Roadster built in 2021 - it is a classic street rod. The
fiberglass body is a quality piece. A Calypso Cream
basecoat/clearcoat finish was professionally done and is
outstanding. Accents include a distinct Dick Rodwell handmade
curved/angled windshield w/2" chop, Blue Dot taillights and a
Hoosier steel hood with black leather straps and McMillan stainless
strips. The custom top-frame mounts a black Hartz ragtop w/smoked
glass postal window that is lift-off removable. The classic '32
grill is flanked by Speedway 10" headlight buckets with LED lights
and built in turn signals. Front suspension components have
received the complete chrome treatment and 15" 'steelie' wheels
mount time-honored baby moons/trim rings and new BFGoodrich
Silvertown wide-white radials. In order to enhance the driving
experience, there is a stunning custom interior. Black leather
upholstery is fitted to a 2-way adjustment bench seat w/seat belts.
An FR steering column mounts a Flaming River wheel w/V8 logo horn
button and silver-face Dakota Digital VHX gauges are installed in a
'40 Ford-style dash. There is a polished Rodworx mirror, leather
door pull straps, remote battery posts and a SoCal electric decklid
release for the meticulously finished trunk. Finally, the roadster
is 'Radio Delete' to eliminate useless banter unrelated to
performance.
Horsepower comes from a serious 350ci Chevy that was built in 2021.
The small-block is dressed to look like an 'Olds Rocket V8' with
custom valve covers that incorporate plug wire loops - very cool.
Fuel is fed by an old-school 3x2 Holley set-up on a custom aluminum
intake manifold. A Joe Hunt magneto provides fire and cooling is
managed by a steel radiator with auxiliary fans. Ceramic coated
Sanderson 'LimeFire' headers route exhaust in multiple directions.
Behind this powerful 'Mouse' is a GM 3-speed automatic gearbox that
feeds torque to a 9" Ford posi-traction differential. The spotless
custom chassis integrates manual power steering, power assisted
4-wheel disc brakes and a sophisticated suspension. The front
utilizes a dropped straight axle with coilover shocks/radius rods
and the rear is 4-link with coilovers. There is much, much more - a
full binder of documentation/receipts is provided. This handsome
street rod must be seen to be appreciated. It will soon make one
new owner very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
