Bought 1939 Ford Deluxe convertible coupe in 2021. Solid Older Restoration. Pulled the engine and transmission. The engine needed a new crankshaft rear seal, cleaning, and painted. Rebuilt the generator and carburetor. It starts and runs great! The engine looked very good on the inside. The transmission was torn down and three gears and the synchronizers were replaced. It shifts perfectly. The brakes had just been rebuilt. The tires are very good with high tread. Repaired then painted the body with base coat clear coat urethane. It was wet sanded and buffed to a glass like finish. The seats and door panels were reupholstered in an original style with heavy duty leather like vinyl. Custom painted the dash and door trim like the original wood grain. Jaw dropping responses from people about the beauty of the dash and the interior! It’s a very gorgeous car that you can drive and have fun.
