Alpina calls this system, Switch-tronic, and it requires a

which also has an Alpina crest. The shocks are also slightly softer
than the standard Z8 to achieve better ride quality, although
spring rates remain the same.
Powered by a 5.0 liter DOHC 32-Valve V8 engine, developing 394 bhp
@ 6600 rpm and 368 ft. lb. of torque @ 3800 rpm, 5-Speed Automatic
Transmission propels the car to a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds with a
top speed electronically limited to 160.
This Z8 Alpina has had three owners from new. The original owner of
this Alpina was famous decorator Mr. Bill Diamond. At the time it
was serviced and cared for by BMW of Southampton, New York and
later, East Hampton based specialists, Georgica Services. It was
then sold to a well-known Long Island, New York collector and then,
and most recently, sold by us to a good client and friend of
Autosport Designs, a Beverly Hills, California based collector
where it has been enjoyed limited use and enjoyment to and from the
country club.
Taken on trade towards another automobile from our inventory, this
Z8 Alpina is seeking its next new home and custodian. I can attest
to this Z8 Alpina being exceptional in every way, have recently
driven it from the San Francisco area with my son, to Monterey,
using it during this years Monterey-Pebble Beach automotive
festivities prior and to our transporting it back East to Autosport
Designs, NY.
Having always been used in seasonal, fair weather conditions, this
Z8 Alpina, is a true modern classic, has no disappointments and is
ready to immediate use and enjoyment.
