For Sale: 1973 Datsun 240Z in Cadillac, Michigan

1973 Datsun 240z. L28 engine with wide ratio 5 speed transmission. N42 block, N42 head. Rebuilt 4 screw SU carburetors with new throttle shafts. Engine runs okay but could use some fine tuning. New windshield New interior- new seat covers, seat foam, door panels, center console, diamond stitch vinyl, trim panels, headliner and carpet. New oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, electronic distributor and coil. New radiator. New clutch. New clutch master & secondary cylinders. Newish paint done by previous owner- it's not the best but okay. Car originally was green w/ tan interior. New bumpers. New tires. New thrust rod bushings. New engine and trans mounts. The bad: Engine is somewhat unknown but seems to run fine. The choke cables are a little sticky so warming up requires the hood open to push open the chokes. There are a lot of electrical issues from what I think is a quick reassembly after paint. Tach and fuel gauges don't work, temp and oil gauges do. All lights work. Climate controls don't feel like they're hooked up and fan doesn't come on. Car has A/C but didn't blow cold before one of the wires became detached. I put in a new heater valve, though, along with all new heater hoses. There is an area of paint scraped off from when I was fitting the new bumper overriders. Also, misc. holes where different sized mirrors were installed and holes to install rear louvres (come with the car, not installed). There is evidence of repair to passenger floor board but there's still a small hole. Overall the floor boards are a little wavy and beaten up. It's a great looking car and with minimal work can be brought to the next level. Titled for the road until Aug. '24.
