Vehicle Description
1946 Ford 1/2 ton Flatbed P/U. DGT4184 VIN-699C804184. This F-1
truck is decked out! The cab is bright red and described as Fire
Engine red. All the white on the exterior is powder coated. Dual
chrome exhaust stacks shoot up behind the red cab. Under the hood
sits a flat head V-8 with an Offenhauser intake manifold with
triple carburetors and Edelbrock finned aluminum heads. The engine
has been balanced and professionally built. The transmission is
completely rebuilt as well. It's a 3 speed with over drive, but it
also has a Columbia 2 speed rear-end. There was around $68k spent
on building this truck. The cab has Corvette seats that have been
cut down to fit the cab and the driver seat is power adjustable.
All gauges work, all wiring is been replaced, as well as a new
heater. The running boards are all Rhinolined. The flatbed has nice
stake-side wood around 3 sides. The truck sits on Ultra wheels and
there is a 5th wheel mounted behind the cab. This truck is
basically all new with very few miles on it since it was completed.
I have included photos of the restoration photos of a few receipts.
It was fun to see photos of the original engine before it was
rebuilt and before it came out of the truck and photos of the
engine back in the truck with all the speed equipment on it. This
truck may have a flathead in it still, but it is set up to cruise
down the road a lot faster with the overdrive and 2 speed read-end.
One sweet ride! Cond#2+ $29,000
