Vehicle Description
This 1961 Nash Metropolitan is a cool little car with an
international perigee. It might be European-sized, but the coupe
carries plenty of American design flair with its full chrome front
end and continental kit in the rear. That's what makes these cars
so cool today. A Series IV model like this one is especially
desirable because it's the only one with exterior access to the
trunk. Plus, the later cars had bright side trim that's a great
dividing line for the two-tone finish. And this creamy yellow and
white two-tone is detailed on the outside (even the wheels and
tires follow the theme) as well as gives you a preview of the
interior colors. In fact, the white looks extra cool inside as part
of the houndstooth cloth inserts in the seats and doors. We also
like the Met because it did the most with its space. The split
bench up front, good front legroom, and plenty of light let in by
the wraparound rear window really give this the feeling of
substantial space. So take some extra time checking out the car
that's small in size but big in what it offers

We love the history of how Austin of England built the Metropolitan
for the American market. So you have Americana style done with a
British accent. Plus, there were features you didn't see on other
American cars. After all, the Smiths speedometer has more in common
with a Jaguar or Aston Martin than it does a Chevy! And that tidy
engine under the hood is shared with cars like the MGA. So it's
nippy when you really want it to be. And the full driving
experience has a unique balance of European steering with a bit of
American float. So it's a fun and distinct cruiser, and at an
affordable price like this, the smiles it delivers make this Met
absolutely irresistible. Call today!!!
