CPR Classic is delighted to offer this stunning 1974 Porsche 914
1.8 finished in its original color combination of Sunflower Yellow
over a brown vinyl interior. Believed to be a two-registered owner
example since new, this example was originally delivered at Greaves
Porsche Audi of Medford Oregon on May 25th, 1974.
The car remained with its original owner for decades and was
meticulously maintained and kept. Service records begin from new
and are complete through present day. The car also retains its
original window sticker, dealership purchase orders, and original
dealership brochures. All documentation and service records are
included in the sale.
This 914 underwent a meticulous restoration to elevate it to the
level it presents today. St. Helens Autobody carried out a complete
disassembly and repaint of the car. The engine and gearbox were
fully overhauled and the engine still retains its factory fuel
injection. The suspension and braking systems were fully overhauled
with fresh surface finishes and all-new bushings.
The interior was completely refinished in correct brown German
vinyl with added yellow coco mats. A correct carpet kit was
installed, and upgraded Sony speakers were installed to improve the
sound quality of the radio.
Following its restoration the car resided in the collection of Gas
Motorcars before being sold to a CPR client in San Diego in 2021.
Upon taking delivery of the car, we believe that our client became
only the second registered owner that this 914 has had since new.
The car remained with him for the last two years and was driven
sparingly.
Wayne Baker of Personalized Autohaus performed the initial
inspection of the car upon delivery and found it to be in
outstanding, fully sorted condition. Black Forest Automotive
carried out the car's most recent service work which included
installing a new flange seal at its last visit.
The car sits on its original date-matched 15-inch wheels and the
new owner will have their preferred choice of new tires installed
at no charge.
This 914 1.8 is a rare bird in that there are very few 914
4-cylinder examples that have been cared for and treated to this
level of service and fit and finish. It would be impossible to
restore a 914 to this level for its current asking price. That
coupled with the fact that the car has a detailed, verifiable
history since new makes this 914 a special example and would make a
nice addition to any Porsche or classic car collection. This car
would also be a perfect candidate for someone looking for a
show-grade air-cooled Porsche at a great price. Don't miss this
lovely 914 1.8 liter.
