Vehicle Description
Step into the world of classic muscle with this 1962 Dodge Dart 500
CID V8 Pro Street. This 2-door sedan, originally a slant 6, 3-speed
on the column, now boasts a mild rebuilt 440 stroked to 500 CID,
10.1 valve relief piston, and a 510 lift camshaft. The 8-bolt hemi
crankshaft, swinging external oil pick-up on an 8-quart oil pan,
and ARP main stud, rod bolts, and head studs, all contribute to its
powerful performance. The Dart runs on 93-octane gasoline and
features aluminum heads and a motor plate. The boxed k-frame and
Mclead twin disc, 18 spline 70 B/E body 4-speed transmission,
ensure a smooth and controlled ride. The dual shifter mount, 1350
driveshaft yokes, and Dana 60 3.73 gears add to its robust
drivetrain. The front suspension has been rebuilt with manual
steering and manual disc brakes. The new cal-trac and mono-leaf
rear springs enhance its handling and stability. The drivetrain and
suspension have less than 400 miles on them, making this Dart ready
for many more miles of driving pleasure. The Dart's body is
rust-free, with the floor pan replaced with AMD panels. The trunk
pan is original, and the black exterior paint job, still shines
nicely. The interior has been completely redone, with door panels
by Gary Ball and Plymouth Trail Duster front seats with A-990 style
brackets installed by a local shop. The old-school Lakewood bolt-in
roll bar and rear seat delete panel, made from a 62 Dodge hood, add
a touch of nostalgia. The Dart also features Max Wedge exhaust
manifolds and TTI 3" exhaust for that classic muscle car sound.
This Dart rides on custom aluminum wheels wrapped in radial tires,
adding to its aggressive stance and performance. The red vinyl
interior contrasts beautifully with the black exterior, creating a
striking visual appeal. Experience the thrill of classic muscle
with this 1962 Dodge Dart 500 CID V8 Pro Street. It's not just a
car, it's a statement.
