Coming soon to auction.
This 1998 Ferrari 550 Maranello was first registered in Florida and then relocated to California, where it was acquired by the current owner in 2014. The car is powered by a 5.5-liter V12 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and is finished in black over matching leather. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, Tubi exhaust components, 18? five-spoke alloy wheels, fog lights, power-adjustable seats, a gated shifter, a CD stereo, and automatic climate control. Service in 2021 included replacing the timing belt, water pump, drive belts, engine mounts, and tensioner bearings in addition to rebuilding the air conditioning compressor. This 550 Maranello now shows 13k miles and is offered on dealer consignment as part of Mohr Imports’ Monterey Collection Sale with the owner’s manual, a tool kit, a removed stereo, service records, and a clean California title.
The 550 Maranello was styled by Pininfarina, and this example is finished in Nero DS (1250). Equipment includes projector-style headlights, fog lights, a hood scoop, a front spoiler, front fender vents, and quad exhaust tips exiting through the rear bumper cover. Struts for the hood and rear decklid were replaced in 2021.
Five-spoke 18? alloy wheels are mounted with 255/40 front and 295/35 rear Continental ExtremeContact tires. Braking is handled by black-finished Ferrari-branded calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. The brake fluid was changed and the front left control arm bushing was replaced in March 2021.
The cabin features power-adjustable seats upholstered in Nero leather. Amenities include a gated shifter, automatic climate control, electric windows, an Alpine CD stereo, a six-disc CD changer, and rear luggage straps. The handbrake lever was replaced in March 2021. Wear on the right side of the dashboard is shown in the gallery below.
The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel fronts a Jaeger gauge cluster with a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,600-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and readouts for oil temperature and fuel level are located atop the center stack. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.5-liter quad-cam F133A V12 features 48 valves, dry-sump lubrication, and Bosch Motronic engine management for a factory-rated output of 478 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service was performed in March 2021, and additional work at that time included rebuilding the air conditioning compressor and replacing the water pump, engine mounts, drive belts, and tensioner bearings.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
A pair of Ferrari-branded seat covers, a steering wheel cover, and an indoor car cover are included with the sale.
