Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to offer to you today this 1976 Chevrolet
C-10 Scottsdale truck. This square-body comes to us dressed in a
slick coat of Hugger Orange and White paint with gleaming trim
everywhere you look - it's a real head-turner! Up front there's a
new grill with a big gold bowtie emblem, new headlight bezels
surrounding LED headlights, and new turn signals. Both the front
and rear bumper are either new or freshly re-chromed - they both
have a mirror-like finish. The hood does have a slight fitment
issue and it sits too high above the fenders (about 1/2")-
especially on the drivers side (We believe that this is due to an
aftermarket hood). Moving to the sides you'll find lots of bright
body trim separating the white and orange, as well as wheel lip
molding, dual chrome side mirrors, chrome door handles, and
"Scottsdale 10" emblems on the front fenders. Tinted windows
provide a nice contrast to the brightwork. In the rear is a
tailgate with "CHEVROLET" at the center and brand new hardware
inside. The bed features a black spray-liner on the floor and
painted side-walls. Under the bed and cab on the passenger side
you'll find a new gas tank. The truck has a nice stance as it sits
upon chrome US Mags wrapped in Venezia Crusade HP tires. Under the
hood is a clean, organized, and painted engine bay that houses a
5.3 liter LS Vortec V-8! While under the hood you'll also notice an
aluminum radiator, a power steering pump, a brake booster with dual
resevoir, and a Sanden compressor for a Vintage A/C system. The LS
engine is mated to a 4L60 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission
with a 12-bolt rear end- an absolutely fantastic combination.
Exhaust flows through Headman headers, Flowmaster mufflers, and new
pipes before it exits behind the rear wheels with an awesome sound.
The brake booster under the hood is connected by all new lines to
front discs and rear drums. Inside the cab is a very nice tan and
brown interior. Both the LED overhead cab light and under-dash
light illuminate when you open the door. The tan door panels are
OEM correct, in very good condition, and they feature woodgrain
inserts. The bench seat has been re-covered in brown leather and is
both attractive and comfortable. An unattached tan arm-rest/storage
box/cup-holder unit sits in the center of the bench. The brown
dash-pad is crack-free and in good condition. Woodgrain inserts
continue on to the dash - both behind the gauges and on the
passenger side above the glovebox. The gauges have been upgraded
with Dakota Digital replacements. The speedometer, temp, fuel, oil,
and battery gauges all work, but the tachometer does not. There in
a small button to the left of the dash which controls digital
functions on the speedometer. There is a Vintage Air control unit
on the dash and it cranks out hot heat and cold A/C, but because of
an actuator issue, it must be left on "dash"(not floor or defrost).
Under the woodgrain gauge area is a black section containing
controls for the headlights, wipers (inop.), and a nice-sounding
AM/FM Retrosound-style radio. The driver has an aftermarket wood
steering wheel with black metal spokes and a Chevy bowtie on the
horn button as well as a tilt column. There is a column shifter for
the automatic transmission, but the indicator marker gets stuck on
"D" unless you go all the way to the right before you return it to
park (just the indicator sticks, not the shifter). The
orange-painted area under the dash on the passenger side is home to
an ashtray with lighter and a glovebox containing an original
owners manual. Overhead you'll find dual visors and a plain metal
ceiling while under-foot is nice tan carpeting. While this C-10 has
a few small demerits, they're far outweighed by all of the
positives - LS swap, automatic overdrive transmission, cold A/C,
power steering and brakes, slick paint, and a very nice interior.
We've taken all of these factors into consideration in pricing this
truck - and we doubt it will be here long at this price.
Square-bodies are very hot these days and this is a great deal on
one that's sure to turn heads everywhere and put a smile on your
face!
