Vehicle Description
All you have to do is look at the mileage to understand the level
of preservation that this 2000 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson
represents. But more than just a time capsule, its full appeal is
about being a loaded V8 pickup built to know how to coddle you
in-between trips on your H-D Hog.
This truck has averaged only about 36 miles annually...that's it!
So you've gone further doing errands on a Saturday than this one
usually does all year. That means you get a museum-level
presentation on the paint and body. The black shows no signs of
resprays/blends and has a beautiful piano-like luster. So the
largest imperfections you'll find are the kind that comes from
waxing and caring for a unique pickup. And there's a good reason to
treat this Ford as extra special. This is the inaugural year for
the Harley Davidson special edition. It was a brilliant marking
combination that allowed Ford to deliver a top-tier truck while
also upgrading the attitude. After all, the black paint joins the
color-matched bumpers, deeply tinted windows, and hard tonneau
cover for a mean-as-midnight style. And the brightness level on the
contrasting orange pinstripe seems to emphasize how dark the finish
is, and at the same time, it gives you the proper Harley combo.
This also loves to be the chopper of trucks, and that means the
right custom chrome added. So the package came with details like
the billet grille, polished step rails, polished side exhaust tips,
and an exclusive set of 20-inch alloys with the H-D logo in the
center. This is a collector-grade modern classic, but it's still a
useful truck. So if you do decide to do some chores, there's a
thick rubber be mat and a proper trailer hitch to keep this
well-respected example looking so pristine.
The interior keeps the time capsule feeling going. It looks, feels,
and smells new, so those special leather bucket seats with Harley
Davidson stitching are particularly inviting. This was the first
year for the package, but Ford knew they were putting together
something special. Hence, they made sure they tastefully added
details, like the exclusive gauges package, metal logo center
console, chrome-like accents, and special stitching on the rear
seats of this handy extended cab. And what also makes this so
attractive is its level of features. It's loaded with cold-blowing
air conditioning, power windows, sliding rear glass, power locks,
keyless entry & alarm, dual airbags, anti-lock brakes, and a
premium AM/FM/cassette stereo with CD changer. While this is an
ultra-low mileage machine, it's still set up for long-haul comfort.
The power driver's seat, tilt steering column, fold-down armrest,
and the cruise control can make you feel like the king of the
highway.
Under the hood is the correct 5.4-liter V8. So while this example
might be preserved and pampered, it still has the heart of a
hard-working and torque-filled truck. That means you have a
terrific fuel-injected powerhouse that provides plenty of power to
tow the bikes or get ahead of traffic. And as you look over the
full package, you can see the impressive level of preservation goes
down to the factory tags on the suspension. But the power steering,
four-wheel disc brakes, and a four-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive remind you the real mission is to be effortless on
trips near or far.
Complete with an owner's manual, this is the kind of truck that can
turn your garage into an H-D museum. But we bet you'll continue the
preservation tradition while adding to the odometer. After all,
this is utility, comfort, and prestige in one terrific package.
