The Fifth generation of the Corvette debuted in 1997 and would be
produced until 2004. Other than the obvious changes to the body,
the C5 would receive some firsts like Heads Up Display (HUD),
engine power increased and a very much improved Active Handling
System. The C5 was also the first Corvette to incorporate
drive-by-wire technology and variable effort steering. This would
also be the last time that you will see pop-up headlights on a
Corvette. This particular Corvette is finished in desirable Torch
Red over Black interior and is a very nice honest car with updated
wheels and a Corsa Exhaust that sound fantastic...Not to quiet, Not
to Loud. The paint is in good condition as is the top and interior.
This Corvette has been driven but not abused so there are some
stone chips and other small cosmetic blemishes that you have to
look for, everything that is to be expected of a 23 year old
automobile. These cars were tremendously reliable and pretty darn
good on fuel economy all while offering pretty substantial
performance for the money. If you want a fun cruiser that is ready
to go and looks good, you should take a look. This Vette, starts,
runs and drives great with no known needs.
