For Sale: 1966 Ford Mustang in Guelph, Ontario

Vehicle Description

1966 Mustang Coupe - Restored & Modified

High performance 289 c.i. V8 Windsor engine, bored .030 with Ford performance heads, TRW forged flathead pistons @ 10.5: 1 CR; Crane performance cam and lifters. Edelbrock intake manifold & 650 CFM - 4 BBL carb with performance air filter. Cobra valve covers, Headman performance headers with Flowmaster 2-1/2" dual exhaust system with dual side cut-outs. Petronix electronic ignition system with Accel wiring. The engine bay is reinforced via Total Control Products' shock tower brace kit 6061-T6 tubular aluminum that includes the export brace, fender Monte Carlo brace, and upgrade truss braces.

It has a Ford 4-speed Toploader (short shift version), Hurst competition shifter with reverse lockout. Grab-A-Track suspension, KYB gas shocks, Detroit Lockers with a 411 differential. It runs on custom Panther Heart polished aluminum rims with polished aluminum center caps and chrome lug nuts that host a new set of BF Goodrich TA's @ 235: 60/R15

The vehicle was modified to sport both a customer front spoiler and a customer rear spoiler; Eleanor type upper & lower grill. 3-Core aluminum rad with electric fan. Dual Scott Drake racing mirrors, new bumpers, fender badged, door handles etc. New windshield.

A state-of-the-art full Dakota Digital VHS-65F dash cluster with a 5+gauge panel. (fuel, volts, temp, oil with combined speedometer-odometer-tachometer) Vehicle has been completely rewired with Painless Wiring harness. Full Deluxe Pony interior in excellent condition. Headliner is great. Aftermarket Grant wooden-aluminum steering wheel. Glass is good. Headlights and tail lights are modern and clean.

New floor pans, new fenders; rockers are clean and solid; trunk is clean and solid. Door skins in very good shape. This has been garage kept with minimal mileage. This was originally a southern car, undergoing a ground-up professional restoration in Detroit. It was designed to be a knock-off "pretty" clone of a Shelby GT 350 Notchback Group II SCCA Racer, with some "Eleanor". The paint is sound. It is a pearlized, midnight blue contrasted to a black-on-black interior.

This car is fast. It handles well. It shifts very well and a real charm on those curvy, hilly, secondary highways. It has Armstrong Steering and manual brakes - It is loud and can become louder if the cut-outs are opened. It runs well on regular but premium is the nectar on these HP motors.

Zoom Zoom ... This car may not be one-of-a-kind, but you will be very hard-pressed to find another like it.

Approx 3,000 total on restoration: (ie: ~ 1500 on old odometer and new Dakota Digital odometer has 1487.showing). Vehicle is clean; it is solid; it is straight; and essentially rust free. Paint is very nice and sound. It scoots and it’s a hoot to drive.
