1966 Ford Mustang Sprint 200
Limited Edition Sprint 200 Model was promoted in the spring of 1966
to help Ford reach the Million Mustang sales mark and because they
were running low on the 289 V-8s, the inline 6 cylinder, 200 cid
engines from the Ford Falcons were used. It was advertised as the
Millionth Mustang or Limited Edition Sale. The stock 200 cid six
was dressed up with a chrome air cleaner, center floor console,
painted side accents, deletion of chrome rear ornaments and a set
of deluxe 48 spoke stainless steel blue center wire-style wheel
covers.
