Clean Carfax & Auto Check Reports
Like the cars that made Ferrari famous in the 1950s and 1960s, the
550 Maranello is a GT meant for high-speed, cross-country travel,
with all of the essential Ferrari pieces present and accounted for.
Its style comes from Pininfarina; Scaglietti built the all-aluminum
bodywork, and the 5.5-liter DOHC V-12 under the hood produces
479hp. The rear-mounted transaxle helps balance out this
3,726-pound car, and the six-speed manual features a classic gated
shifter with a polished metal lever and knob. Conceived to be a
classic from the start, Ferrari's discerning customers demanded not
just out and out performance, but also drivability, luxury, and
comfort.
Displaying 56,850 kms (35,324) original miles, the 550 remains well
preserved throughout, including upholstery, trim and original
numbered etched glass all around. The front bumber and hood were
previously repainted due to normal road rash and stone chips. Both
Carfax and Auto Check report a clean brief history here in the
US.
The Maranello's most recent "Major Service" was commissioned in
Summer 2023 at 56,600 kms, comprised of a complete timing belt
service with new gaskets, seals and water pump, battery, fluids,
filters, plugs and air conditioning service. Followed by a major 40
hour detailing in preparation for sale. The car performs well as
expected, with excellent power and the most intoxicating sound,
while manually rowing through the gears. A tremendous complement to
Ferrari's iconic GTs of years past.
Ferrari's 550M as the reborn Daytona, surely ranks among the upper
echelon of modern Gran Tourers. With its stunning and unique
livery, recent services and unmistakably beautiful ensemble,
enthusiasts and astute collectors alike are encouraged to take a
closer look at this example.
