Vehicle Description
The domineering presence of Ford's full-size Galaxie is hard to
mistake, and when you take a single look at this stunning 1964
Galaxie 500 Fastback, it's easy to see why. With long, flowing
bodylines, a low-slung profile, and a wide stance, this '64 Galaxie
is ready to take on the highway at any time. This one is dressed in
the same color scheme it rolled off the assembly line with, and
optioned with air conditioning and cruise control, it makes for one
of the best classic cruisers on the market. Powered by a correct
352 C.I. V8 breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor, this '64
Galaxie makes more than enough power to move its weight well.
Torque is put to the pavement through a 3-speed automatic
transmission, which allows for smooth cruising as it shifts
seamlessly. The exterior is bathed in stunningly correct two-tone
"White" over "Sunlight Yellow" paint, which covers the length of
this Galaxie's laser-straight bodylines wonderfully. The two-tone
color scheme also extends to the trim, where chrome accents with
white inserts add an extra layer of attractiveness to the exterior.
In addition, the floors, frame, trunk and jambs on this '64 Galaxie
are all rock-solid and all present well! Opening the doors to this
fantastic '64 Ford reveals a gorgeous white vinyl interior,
complete with large & comfy split-bench seats that are perfect for
long-haul driving. With all the options a big Ford should offer,
this '64 Galaxie is optioned with power steering, power brakes, an
aluminum radiator, a Vintage-Air A/C system (that blows cold!),
vent windows, dual chrome mirrors, a factory-installed working
clock, an original AM pushbutton radio, cruise control, seatbelts,
and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust system. The car rides on a slick
set of 15" American Racing wheels over B.F. Goodrich blackwall
tires for an imposing look that fits this Ford well. With that big
352 V8 under the hood and a 3-speed automatic backing it up, this
'64 Galaxie 500 runs and drives down the road like a dream. With
the cruiseabiltiy that this one has, it won't last long on our
showroom floor, so don't let it pass you by!
