One of the greatest gauges for collectability is rarity combined
with a great story, and this 1990 Ford Mustang LX convertible "7-Up
edition" has exactly that. The legend of these 7-Up cars was born
out of a special promotion by the soda company. Deep Emerald Green
and a white roof were a special package intended for an NCAA
sweepstakes. The program was canceled at the last minute, but Ford
liked it so much, they offered it as a special package for 1990.
It's believed that only about 4100 convertibles were built (around
3% of total Mustang production.) Its rarity makes this one
instantly desirable, but there's much more going on here, too. It's
a low-mileage example that has only averaged around 500 miles
annually. This less use and good care mean the paint not only is
believed to be the original application, but it also looks terrific
radiating in the sunshine. And this special edition has all the
right premium features for the time, including a luggage rack on
the trunk, 15-inch turbine-style GT wheels, and a premium white
leather interior. Plus, the stick shift adds to the rarity as well
as the fun you get out of the famous 5.0 fuel-injected V8. So take
a closer look at a very special and very respected 7-Up
Mustang.

This car has its place firmly cemented in Mustang history. In fact,
1990 was the Mustang's 25th model year, and so these limited
edition convertibles are often treated as the unofficial
anniversary edition vehicles. So you can understand why this one
would get treated with extra respect by real enthusiasts. But a
stick shift car is also meant for true drivers. And so this one has
been given the right investments so that it's more than just garage
art. Fresher pieces like the tires, alignment, 02 sensors, battery,
plugs, and A/C system really help ensure that this one is ready for
a special pleasure drive when you are. So when you can find a great
V8 drop-top with true distinction, then you know you're looking at
a special deal. Call today!!!
