1999 Jaguar XJ8
Purchased from the 1st owner, this car has been meticulously maintained and driven on average, less than 5000 miles a year.
The current owner, who has had several Jags over the years, saw this Carnival Red Metallic for sale about 4 years ago and had to have her. Unfortunately, he said he just hasn't driven her the way he wanted to and has decided to move her on to a new home.
The first owner, who purchased her brand new from Thomas Cadillac-Jaguar, had her maintained at the same dealer and had every recommended service done, including the timing chain tensioners. This car cold starts and is super quiet, no rattling, no ticking. She runs and drives like she was brand new, the 4 liter V8, which puts out just about 300HP and lb ft of torque, moves this luxury auto smoothly and easily, with enough power to make you realize it's there.
The paint, Carnival Red Metallic is in very good condition, with some light swirl marks barely visible and a couple of small dings. On the under carriage, there is absolutely no rot and the only surface rust is on the lower control arms. The car has been garaged her entire life and hardly ever driven in the rain, never in the rain by the current owner.
The Oatmeal leather interior, code AGD, is also in very good condition. The usual falling headliner is kept in place with upholstery tacks and looks almost like it's supposed to be that way, other than that there is hardly any wear on interior bits.
As a Jaguar, it is loaded with amenities that include the obvious like power steering, 4 wheel power discs, intermittent wipers, cruise control, power windows - mirrors and door locks, and AC (which blows nice and cold), and less obvious like tilt/telescoping wheel, bluetooth connectivity, 8 way power heated leather seats, heated rear seats, sport mode, ABS, traction control, air-bags, 6 disc CD changer - premium audio, sun roof, additional interior lights and steering wheel audio controls and more.
So, she's powerful, runs and drives like brand new, looks great and is super comfortable
PLUS
these Jaguars are currently WAAAY undervalued.
One would never guess she has 103,000 miles on her.
This beautiful quasi-classic in all her glory has an asking price of only $7500
