Vehicle Description
This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is a two-time NCRS Top
Flight award-winner and is powered by a matching-numbers 283ci V8
engine with a dual 4-barrel carburetor (CU code) producing 245hp,
paired with a T10 4-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with
7-finned cast valve covers and is finished in Tuxedo Black with
black coves over a black interior. This previously restored
triple-black Corvette features the Wonder Bar AM radio, windshield
washers, sunshades, courtesy light and package tray. It rolls on
wide whitewall bias-belted tires with stainless knock-off caps. The
1961 Corvette had many firsts for this model and was the final year
for the dual-quad and the 283ci V8 engine. This is the first year
with the aluminum radiator and side-mounted coolant expansion tank
as standard equipment, as well as the first year for under-car
exhaust. This two-time NCRS certified Corvette comes with a binder
of receipts and owner history. 3,945 miles since restoration.
