2005 was the last of the two seat T-Birds. 2005 marks the 50th year anniversary of this very popular model. This private seller car has been recently serviced by the local Ford dealership and needs nothing. It has never been in an accident. Original "Bronze Clearcoat Metallic" paint is bright and near perfect condition. Odometer reads approximately 36,000 careful miles.
An option that can be hard to find, and is expensive, is the removable "port hole" hard top. This car has that option along with many other standard premium features, including Ford's one year only "Bronze" paint scheme (total units produced in this color were just 1,396).
Engine is a 3.9L V8 with Ford's "select shift" 5 speed automatic. Original rolling hard top stand and "boot" for soft top goes with car.
Ford owned a large part of Jaguar when this model was produced. This last generation shares many Jaguar and Lincoln LS design features (4-wheel disc brakes, independent suspension, etc.). It's a great handling car and never fails to elicit favorable comments whenever its driven.
There have been a number of "retro" cars produced by the major manufacturers. Ford's re-introduction of the T-Bird was notably well thought out, not just from a design perspective, but also from an engineering perspective. I have come to appreciate Ford's extra effort. There are dozens of ways they could have marketed the retro styling and still cheapened the features and functionality of this model in order to save costs.
But they didn't. More than just a pretty face, It's a lot of car for the money.
This is a beautiful, well maintained all original car. Drive anywhere. No apologies necessary.
