Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this beautiful 1988 Mercedes Benz 560SL in spectacular condition with only 83,002 original miles. The car looks fantastic, runs great, and is an amazing driver. The market on the 560SL is absolutely red hot right now and this example is priced to sell. Lower mileage and original examples of the R107 Mercedes SL are exceptionally difficult to find and draw a huge premium in the current market. 83,002 miles is low for a Mercedes from this era as they are built like tanks and can virtually run forever when properly maintained. The original mileage is also verified not only by the condition of the car, but also by the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, showing the mileage as "Actual."

We have recently driven this 560SL over 50 miles recently. During that time the car was completely reliable, has no issues, and was a true pleasure to drive.

This 560SL comes with both the soft-top and auxiliary hardtop. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mercedes that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as the values are on the rise. This Mercedes is finished in the absolutely beautiful and highly desirable color combination of Arctic White (147) over very rare Burgundy/Mid Red Leather (277) with a Black soft-top (740). This is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the vehicle data plate. Please peruse all of the photos, video, and other information in this ad to get a true sense of how clean and nice this 560SL really is.

As a side note, this Mercedes is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the 560SL, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Arctic White (147) exterior is in amazing condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a brilliant gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The chrome and other bright-work look great with no pitting. The original alloy wheels look great and have no curb rash. The Dunlop tires have plenty of tread left and are correctly sized 205/65R15. There are no major blemishes that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. As one would expect from a paint job with many years on it there are some small imperfections around the car that are too tiny to show up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five feet away. The Black convertible soft top is in nice condition overall. Please note that this appears to be the factory original soft top with the Mercedes star logo in the windows, not some cheap aftermarket replacement. This Mercedes has no rust issues. As one can see in the many photos of the underside, this 560SL is very solid underneath. We have also included specific photos of the rockers, lower front and rear quarter panels, and other areas on the car most prone to rust to show how nice it looks.

Interior

The rare Burgundy/Mid Red Leather (277) interior of the 560SL is in spectacular original condition. All of the gauges faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are clear. The headliner for the hardtop is in excellent condition with no stains or sagging. The seats look just as great in person as they do in the photos with no split seams, rips, or excessive wear. The seat is not overly worn in the typical area on the bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet looks great with no stains or holes. The original door panels look wonderful with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls are solid and intact. The dash is in great condition with no sun fading, cracks etc. The wood trim is in amazing shape with almost no cracks on the center console. The factory first aid kit is still with the car. This car has never been smoked in; there is no aroma of cigarettes whatsoever and no burn marks.

The trunk is very clean and nicely detailed with the original spare tire, and rim, jack.

Mechanical

This 560SL appears to be in very nice mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. The engine starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smoothly. It is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. In the video one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70 mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to a stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that it runs great, there are no strange noises or vibrations, and the car performs quite nice overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. The gauge shows that the engine makes great oil pressure. Also, the engine bay is clean, nicely detailed, and correct as one can see from the photos.

Please note in the video the dash warning lights; they light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" lights that stay on. The horn works as do the fog lights, headlights, brights, turn signals, interior lights, indicators, dash gauges lights, wipers, power locks, power antenna, and fan. All of the gauges work and even the clock runs. The a/c blows cold. This Mercedes has plenty of power with the 5.6 liter V8 engine. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the top down on a beautiful day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1988 560SL is in outstanding condition and is a true bargain at our asking price. This Mercedes ready to be driven and enjoyed. The beautiful rare color combination makes this Mercedes particularly desirable. The market for the R107 body style SL Mercedes is very strong right now, particularly for the 560SL's and this would be a great example to own. This Mercedes is a great value and will only appreciate over time. Someone could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.

Thank you for looking and please do not hesitate to email or call with any questions.
