For Sale: 1988 Mercedes-Benz 190E in Coconut Creek, Florida

This garage kept car was owned by a Mercedes mechanic since 1995. We bought it in 2020 and put over 30,000 miles on it.  Runs very well. Lots of the common issues on this car have been fixed such as bad vacuum actuators, stuck fan switches, cracked trim, etc.  Perfect dashboard and nice clean interior.  During the 3 years we have enjoyed this car, we had major work done with the goal of keeping the car in the family.  Any questions, call Jean-Luc on 954 993-1440

Major work carried out:

• Transmission rebuild at 170,000 miles, new rear main seal at 190,000 miles
• Cylinder head rebuild (new lifters, rocker arms, camshaft, valves, valve seals) & pistons cleaned. (Cylinder walls looked excellent in all 4 cylinders)
• New AC compressor, refurbished Jetronic mass airflow meter, new exhaust, new fuel injectors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump & filter, drive shaft rebuild (new dampeners & center bearing & drive shaft), new ignition control module & distributor
• New shock absorbers, new brakes, new engine mounts
• * New front windshield, new belt tensioner with dampener
•  ... and much more (We have records of the other work)

Parts we have but have not installed yet:

- Main driver seat with excellent condition leather, all 4 door seals, almost new driver seat arm-rest

Included in the sale are approximately $2,000 in parts ranging from door cards to axel and even entire wiring harness, wheels & much much more.

The sunroof works but we taped it shut as it would need some bodywork prior to painting. The driver seat is worn but we have an excellent replacement (uninstalled). The car needs a paint job as lots of the clear coat is peeling.  A professional detailer was able to wet-sand  a lot of the bad paint areas and make it somewhat shiny.  The car DEFINITELY deserves a good paint job, we just did not get around to it as we focused on fixing any mechanical problems.

The reason we are selling the car is because we ran out of garage space and have to part ways with it (unfortunately)
