What we have here is a 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
P71 Street Appearance Package with 131,000 miles on the odometer
and with 450 Idle Hours! The car is finished in a Silver Birch
Metallic which is complemented by a Light Gray & Charcoal cloth
interior, both of which are in exceptional condition.
This 2008 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor came from the Washougal
WA police department. Being a West Coast car it's virtually
rust-free! This is a detective/admin type car, not a patrol car,
and was exclusively maintained by the Ford Dealership while in
service.
The "SAP"(Street Appearance Package) includes blue silicone
lifetime aircraft coolant hoses. The front grill, door handles, and
rear light trim are in chrome. Full wheel covers, and the best of
both worlds with an X5 3.27LSD (Limited Slip Differential), better
gas mileage, and better in snow.
The car is equipped with a larger capacity radiator and external
power steering, transmission, and engine oil cooler, T-409
stainless-steel dual exhaust systems without resonators. The
Handling and Performance Package includes, "severe duty" shock
absorbers, aluminum metal matrix composite driveshaft(recently
balance with new Spicer U-joints), front and rear anti-roll bars,
Watts Link, upper and lower rear control arms, and Goodyear Eagle
Ultra Grip tires.
The most important feature is not listed above. Do you want an
ex-patrol car, driven many shifts with every kind of perp in the
back? Or a slightly more luxurious admin car, usually used by a
Detective, Chief of Police, School Commissioner, etc.? These are
super tough cars designed to take the beating of extreme police
work, so why not get one that was babied? Idle hours are the key to
this. Patrol cars often have 4500 - 8000 idle hours (Each idle hour
= 33 miles), do the math. Admin-type cars have under 1000, this car
only has 450. If this car is not for you, fine, but please don't
buy those P71 dealerships polished up high idle cars.
We replaced the "old man" factory tune with the well-known "Marty
tune", and a ported plenum from ADTR in San Diego. We love this
combo as it "Let the Panther out of its cage" and she really goes!
With the police suspension, you will be surprised at how well this
car handles.
These cars are known for going 300k+ with no issues when fluids and
filters are changed as per the maintenance schedule.
