Vehicle Description
1984 Chevrolet Corvette - 5.7L V8 - Automatic Transmission - 115k
Miles - Clean CarFax - Boss Audio Head unit - Backup Camera - Gold
Exterior - Brown Interior The introduction of the new C4 was much
anticipated by automotive enthusiasts in 1984. The beloved C3
Corvette models had a great run, but it was time for a change after
15 years. Delays in production postponed the introduction initially
set for the 1983 model year to 1984. The result, however, was worth
the wait being a true evolution of the Corvette, hosting vintage
design cues of quad tail lights, flip up headlights, clam shell
hood and small block V8 power. Corvette engineers improved
Chevrolet's top dog, sculpting its shape to be more aerodynamic,
with a tighter suspension with the innovative Uniframe construction
and modern interior with digital dash. The C4 Corvette brought
America's sports car back up to the level of the European sports
car competition that had surpassed the Corvette in the late 1970's.
Garage Kept Motors is proud to offer this excellent example of this
significant model in the Corvette's lineage, a 1984 Chevrolet
Corvette. This Corvette has an older repaint in its factory
original hue, Light Bronze Metallic (63/WA7722). While the paint
presents some minor flaws the finish has a nice luster that shows
well. This Corvette features the tinted translucent lift off top
(CC3) as well as the twin power remote heated mirrors (DL8) and
rear window and side mirrors defogger (Z6A). The Corvette trademark
flip up headlights have been upgraded to LED units that shine
brightly. The factory 16 10 slot alloy wheels (QZD) remain and are
wrapped in P255/50/ZR16 Falken ZIEX directional radial tires
keeping that stock look of this groundbreaking model. Inside the
cabin the interior is original and nicely kept. The original carpet
has some mild wear and soiling, however a newer seat of carpeted
floor mats embroidered with the C4 logo brightens the Bronze (651)
interior. The Bronze leather (652) sport seats have been recently
recovered and feature the optional power seat adjustment (AG9). The
digital dash is fully functional and believed to have been
serviced. Other options include factory air conditioning, power
door locks (AU3), Electric rear defogger (C49), and cruise control
(K34). The factory 4-speaker Bose system is now powered by a Boss
AM/FM Stereo with AUX and Bluetooth as well as a rear camera. The
dash is accented with a wood trim treatment that adds a European
luxury sport touch to the interior that shows very tastefully. When
introduced the clam shell hood that lifted to expose the full
engine compartment was a groundbreaking design element that
continued the traditional rear opening Corvette hood that had been
present since its inception in 1953 but took it to a whole new
level 30 years later. Inside the engine compartment sits the L83
205HP Crossfire Injection 5.7 L Engine that features a stunning
cold air intake system. With the hood up the front suspension is
exposed to showcase forged alloy A-arms and those wide speed rated
tires. The engine compartment is in its original condition and has
been well preserved and maintained with factory decals and markings
still present. Power is transferred to a GM 4-speed automatic
transmission to the rear independent suspension equipped with 3.07
gear and standard limited slip differential. As the first year of
the C4 design, this 1984 Corvette carries a certain level of
collectability, yet is currently a very affordable way to enter the
Corvette hobby. This Corvette is a well-handling car and spirited
to drive, especially with the top off, the wind in your hair and
the sun on your face. Please call if interested or e-mail with
