BODY OVERVIEW:
This 1966 Buick Riviera boasts a remarkable legacy, with the same
owner caring for it for over five decades. Its classic body design
exudes the elegance and sophistication that Buick is renowned for.
In mostly original, survivor condition, this Riviera embodies the
charm of a bygone era, offering a glimpse into the past. The body
is free from major defects, but it is a highly original car and
some minor imperfections are to be expected.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:
The Buick's white paint, while not original, has been thoughtfully
reapplied in its factory color, maintaining the car's classic
appearance. The repaint was been expertly executed many years ago,
and while it presents extremely well, it showcases a few minor
imperfections, attesting to the car's history and authenticity. See
photos for detail.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW:
The interior of this Riviera features the original blue vinyl
upholstery, echoing the era's design aesthetics. While the carpet
has been replaced, the majority of the interior remains in its
original state. Considering the interior is 57 years old, it
presents very well. The wear that is present tells the story of a
car that has been cherished and enjoyed since it was new.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW:
Under the hood, you'll find the robust 425ci Buick 'Nailhead' V8
engine, a powerhouse that was emblematic of Buick's performance
heritage. Paired with an automatic transmission, this Riviera
offers a smooth and comfortable ride. This car runs like a
champ!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR:
This 1966 Buick Riviera is a time capsule, preserving the spirit of
the 1960s in its design and performance. The fact that it has been
with the same owner for over half a century adds a unique and
heartwarming dimension to its history. Its well-maintained, mostly
original condition allows you to experience the car as it was meant
to be during the height of its era.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR:
Some buyers might prefer a completely original or fully restored
car, so the minor imperfections in the paint and the replacement of
the carpet may not align with their expectations. Additionally,
those seeking modern conveniences and technology in their classic
cars may find this Riviera lacking in that department.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING?
This factory air conditioning is not currently functional.
