The U.S. market launch of the 2015 Mustang range was scheduled on September 15, 2014, for the coupe. My car was built 12 days after start of production on Sept 30, 2014, and shipped by convoy to Jack Demmer Ford, Inc. in Wayne, MI. From their it was transferred to Suburban Ford of Waterford in early Oct. I visited Suburban Ford in late October, to see the new 50th Anniversary Mustangs. They had only three in stock and the Blue Eco Boost couple with Performance PKG was the one that I wanted.
As an engineer who specialized in engines, and high-performance vehicles, I had to have that car. The dealer was anxious to get the cars out on the road and I was able to negotiate a straight trade in deal to lease it. I quickly signed the lease and took delivery of the car, one month after it was built, on Oct 30, 2014.
I used the car exclusively for out-of-town trips to business clients. The first winter, I added winter tires to enable its use year around. Suburban Ford was the facility I used to maintain the car. It has been serviced there regularly. When the lease was completed in 2016, I purchased it and continued to use it exclusively for business trips. This continued for six more years through 2022. During that time, I have continued to service it regularly at Suburban Ford.
I am now 82 years old and no longer use the car for business trips. The Mustang is not suitable for personal daily use, so I am selling it. A buyer should use and valuable the car as a collectible, high-performance vehicle.
