For Sale: 1967 Ford Mustang in Galveston, Texas

Vehicle Description

I am the 3rd owner of this car that was originally sold by Smith Ford, Lordsburg New Mexico. It was built in San Jose CA and has been restored from ground up including taken back to bare metal and repainted in the original Silver Frost. The interior has been renewed to original spec. The engine is the original 200 ci straight six that came with the car new. It has been rebuilt to drive smoothly on today's roads and highways in that it has oversize valves with hardened seats to accommodate lead free gasoline. The carburetor has been updated to a Weber dual throat and has headers to breathe properly through a 2.25" exhaust system. The distributor has been updated to a DUI electronic ignition and the plug wires are custom made from Magnecor. It has the original three (3) speed top loader transmission. Two years ago I had Classic Mustangs of Houston add power steering and Classic AutoAir air conditioning. From the outset the car looks mostly like came out of the showroom and it is an ideal cruiser. This pony will turn heads and gets attention everywhere we go in it. The wheel trims are original with the car and inside the car the original AM radio is still there. Interior wise I have added 3 point seat belts and got rid of the dash pull parking brake for a hand brake between the seats. My son mounted the tachometer on a custom bracket that he built on a 3D printer that looks like it was always there. All dash gauges have been rebuilt. Windshield washer is updated to electric. Nowadays I rarely drive it. She sits in the driveway under cover and I'll wash it every now and then and take it along the Galveston Seawall boulevard to keep it running. It's time for someone else to enjoy it. The body is straight, however, some surface rust has popped up here and there but it's very minimal. The underbody and floors are solid. This is a great car to take to the next level if you're so inclined. A conversion to automatic would be a breeze and of course there are those who will fit a new Coyote V8 into it. But in all honesty this is a great Sunday driver as is. Data plate info: Body 65A, Color 4, Trim 2D, Date 24K, DSO 75, Axle 3, Trans 1. Considering that Ford built 325,853 1967 Mustang Coupes, only 470 were built in this color and trim codes. Then consider that only 16% of the 325,853 cars had the 200 cubic inch straight six engine with the 3 speed manual transmission, brings the uniqueness of this car to just 75 that were ever built like this. Ford offered other options like the wheel trims and this car has the original wire wheel look trims. What are the odds now? And how many still survive with all of its original steel and power train? I am moving into a condo an need to downsize by moving this car for the next person to enjoy. If you are seriously interested and not a tire kicker then respond here with a phone number and we can talk about the car, plus I can send videos etc. Thank you
