2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
VIN: 2G1WX15K019305648
When first introduced in 1969, the Monte Carlo was originally
designed as a personal luxury vehicle. With the improvements 30
years later for the 2001 model year, Monte Carlo endures as 'Classy
with a Wild Streak.'
In bringing back a popular model to the Chevrolet lineup for 2000,
Monte Carlo designers borrowed a number of styling cues from past
Monte Carlos. These included features such as the long sloping
hood, short rear deck, distinctive 'C' pillars and athletic stance.
The new Monte Carlo's aggressive body styling was also influenced
by a need for aerodynamic efficiency, not just to get better fuel
economy, but to reflect the body style that's used successfully in
NASCAR competition.
For 2001, the SS model was introduced featuring the following:
- 3.8L V6 Engine generating 200HP
- 4sp Automatic Transmission
- 4-wheel independent systems with MacPherson struts and
specially tuned deflected-disc shock absorber
- Electronic Traction Control
- P225/60R-16 Tires for Additional Traction
- Power rack-and-pinion steering
- Largest-in-class 4-wheel disc brakes with antilock braking
system
The car presented at auction shows the following:
- 127,500 Miles on the Odometer
- Interior in very good condition
- Navy Blue Metallic Exterior in Good Condition (see
