This is a Pontiac historical documented; numbers match 400 Ram Air
that has undergone a body off frame restoration! It runs strong and
sounds great too.
EXTERIOR: The all new design nailed it! A longer nose, sloping rear
profile and a lowered stance gave it a European sports car meets
American muscle look. Other features include fender air extractors,
spoilers, fender spats and the functional shaker hood scoop.
Exceptional fit and finish. It is arrow straight and fits real nice
including the rubber bumper. No rust or damage. The Polar White
paint is polished like glass. The stripes were originally decals,
these are actually custom painted on, and they are smooth to the
touch. The grills, moldings, chrome, taillights, windshield look
like new. We installed brand new 15x8 rally wheels complete with
trim and new BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Great looking bright blue interior. It's restored from
carpet to headliner. Upholstery, door panels, carpet were all
replaced. The bits and pieces look great too. I love the machine
turned instrument panel and the formula wheel that is mounted on a
tilt column. Upgraded modern stereo and 6x9 speakers in back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is the numbers matching 400 Ram Air lll
engine. The motor was just rebuilt, and they tweaked it a little,
it's quicker than the others! It does have a set of coated headers;
the rest looks stock. It is detailed to show quality. Every
component looks new. The surfaces are painted very nicely. It
features power steering and brakes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick.
Inside is clean metal painted gray spatter finish. Reproduction mat
and weather strip. The trunk light works.
UNDERSIDE: This has been body off frame restored. All the steering
and suspension looks new. The brake system has been completely
rebuilt: lines, hoses and e-brake cables were replaced. It has disc
in front. Upgraded custom 3 inch stainless exhaust with X-Pipe and
polished MagnaFlow mufflers. New fuel system including the tank.
Looking up at the motor it is spotless and has a high torque
starter. It has a correct 1970 Muncie M-20 4-speed. A rebuilt drive
shaft connects to a 12 bolt rear end with 3.55 posi gears. The
floors and underbody are so nice they were prepped and painted
gloss white!
SERVICE: It went through our shop for inspection and passed with
flying colors.
Not only is this car restored to near brand new condition but it's
just a blast on the street. Shifting those gears, hearing that
exhaust note and feeling the acceleration is awesome! It's a smart
decision too! This is a rare, documented car that will continue to
grow in value.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
