The Triumph TR6 was a very successful roadster - it is regarded by
most to be the best TR series. During its 8-year model run
(1968-1976) over 94,000 Triumph TR6s were built and exported around
the world. This 1974 TR6 has had a full restoration. The
professional respray of Sapphine Blue is in very good condition and
stainless-steel bumpers and trunk rack are nice accents. Factory
steel wheels (w/trim rings/centers) mount 15" Michelin red-line
performance radials. The black vinyl interior has been restored to
near original condition and features include rare factory A/C, a
new walnut veneer dash w/full instrumentation, new dash pad, custom
wheel and raging 'Dual XD1222' AM/FM/CD sound system. The newly
installed convertible top is also excellent and a black tonneau is
provided. The TR6 is powered by Triumph's 2.5-liter/104bhp OHV
straight-6 that sits in a nice engine compartment. US versions were
equipped with dual Zenith Stromberg '175' carburetors. The owner
states that this motor has not been rebuilt and it is backed by a
fully-synchronized 4-speed manual gearbox. A free-flowing exhaust
system provides that wonderful Triumph growl. Traditional
body-on-frame construction features rack-and-pinion steering and
semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension. Brakes are
power-assisted front disc/rear drum. This British icon is waiting
to meet its new owner - it will not take long. ALL VEHICLES SOLD
"AS IS".
