Vehicle Description
Wow is this Ford F1 a really nice truck. These second generation
F-series trucks by Ford were built for a three short years and in
my opinion one of the best looking. This would be the first time
trucks had a adjustable seat and wide enough for three people which
why the truck was marketed as "Triple Economy". These F-series
trucks were set out to upgrade the capability of the pick up truck
all together with increased payload capacities, a more car like
feel when cruising and improved safety features. This particular
Ford is far from the way it came off the assembly except for the
body which has obviously been body off restored with excellent
paint. It features a Buick 455 Cubic inch V8 out of a 1972 Buick
Riviera that has roughly 45,000 miles. It has a Mustang II front
end, a Turbo 400 Automatic Transmission and sits just about perfect
if you ask me. The interior has been upgraded and is very
comfortable. All the gauges and lights work, the truck starts
perfectly, idles perfectly, does not smoke or leak, shifts through
the gears and overall goes down the road really nice. The chrome
and brite-work look fantastic. This truck is a Show and Go unit
that needs nothing to be enjoyed. It does have a heater but no A/C
with a modern radio.
