totally restored in 2020 with a #3999289 casting number on the
block to verify it is a real 454 cubic inch monster big block
engine, 3-speed automatic transmission, 12-bolt read end, and air
conditioning!
It is not often that you will find a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454
with those options and a black bucket seat interior that has a lot
of originality too and looks as it did when it was new.
Chevelle's are immensely popular cars and none are so much highly
sought after as the 1970 model packing that big block 454

Under the hood of this 1970 Chevelle SS is a #3999289 casting
number real 454 cubic inch monster big block engine that makes even
more horsepower than stock with an aluminum intake, Edelbrock
performance carb, air conditioning, dual exhaust, factory open air
element air cleaner with chrome lid, power steering, chrome big
block Chevrolet valve covers, power brakes, and front disc
brakes.
The engine bay is highly detailed as is the chassis with the dual
exhaust running out under the rear bumper thru chrome tips on each
side, and the 3-speed automatic transmission that runs to a 12-bolt
rear end.
Add in and the good grip of wide black sidewall tires mounted on
the factory 5-spoke SS wheels and rear sway bars, and you get this
big block which is a true driver's machine.
Interior
The restored black bucket seats with headrest and matching rear
seat interior looks as new and everything looks correct and just
like it came from the factory back in 1970.
It even has the Chevrolet radio in the great black factory dash and
gauge package, chrome automatic factory shifter in the center
console, tri-spoke steering wheel, matching black carpet, door
panels, and rear seat, air conditioning, and black Chevelle SS 454
floor mats.
The result is a Chevelle SS that feels like a time piece as it is
in excellent restored condition top to bottom.
Exterior
Our Chevelle is re-painted in great red paint flowing over the cowl
induction hood with the black SS stripes and hood pins, slick
panels, blacked-out grille, bulging fenders, and the hardtop
profile.
The chrome bumpers, wheel arch trim, Chevelle and SS 454 badging
really look great and draw people to the car at shows or even gas
stations, and even the chassis looks super clean too.
