A California car since new, the car was delivered to Porsche of
South Bay in Los Angeles. The car remained with the first owner in
Los Angeles until June of 2012, showing 8,000 miles. The car was
then sold to its second owner, a San Diego-based enthusiast who
kept the car until 2017. The car was maintained by Porsche of San
Diego during this time and was sold to its third and most recent
owner showing 24,000 miles. Over the past 6 years, the car has
lived with a CPR client in Oceanside California being driven
sparingly and regularly maintained by All German Auto.
This 997 C4S remains completely stock and unaltered. All of the
car's exterior paint is original, and the car has never been
damaged outside of small surface scratches which have been
rectified with a paint correction.
Upon arrival at CPR Classic, this 997 underwent a thorough
evaluation, preparation, and detail. The car arrived wearing its
original clear bra which we removed due to age. Removing the
original bra revealed flawless original paint on the front end,
which we then thoroughly cleaned and paint corrected. We also
removed the original rock guards from the quarter panels due to
age. New quarter panel rock guards are being installed, and CPR can
arrange for a new clear bra installation before delivery if the new
owner would prefer it.
The Porsche 997 is swiftly entering modern classic territory within
the Porsche market. The 997 marked the end of many eras for
Porsche. The small footprint of the 997 was abandoned for the more
GT-focused 991, and with the 991 came the loss of hydraulic
steering which provides wonderful feedback and an engaging
sensation that the 997 was the last to capture. Sure, the newer
cars are faster, but 997's are beginning to rise in value and
become more sought after, and we only expect this to continue.
This 997 Carrera 4S cabriolet offers a wonderful opportunity to
enter a fully sorted, low mileage 911 that is ready for many
worry-free miles to come. If you are in the market for a 911 that
you can put the top down with and go for everything from spirited
back canyon drives to a dinner date with your partner, this is a
must-consider 911.
