Vehicle Description
This 1994 Chevrolet Impala SS boasts quite a lineage. Its model
dates back to the late '50s, when Chevy took its design back to the
drawing board to equip it with the long, low stance that soon made
Impalas a preferred cruiser on the boulevard. Rolling off the
assembly line some 65 years later, this descendant ably represents
that heritage. It's running great and will pull into its next
destination with a factory build sheet on board to confirm its
configuration upon hitting the road.
This Chevy's black exterior remains in its original configuration
and it's looking pretty sharp, with body panels that blend together
nicely and no noticeable dings or dents to mar its appearance. A
session at the hands of a skilled detailer can easily take it to an
even higher level. It has had the good fortune to have steered
clear of any serious collisions during its lifetime - this is
confirmed by a clean accident report - so its body moldings and
trim are also in good shape and sit just as flush as they did when
this car first left the showroom. The lightly tinted windows
surrounding the cabin reinforce its factory appearance. As a '94,
this Impala also represents the seventh generation of the model, a
class that heralded its reintroduction to the US car market after a
9-year hiatus and if you take a closer look, you might notice its
relatively low stance - it's almost identical to the model's
concept car that debuted at the 1992 Detroit Auto Show to signal
its return.
Climb inside and you'll see that the light gray interior still
presents really well. The upholstery has obviously been well cared
for, showing only light wear, with no serious staining to be found
on either the front buckets or rear bench seating, and the dash
area looks nearly as fresh as it did when this Impala first rolled
out. On the driver's side pillar, you'll find a trio of functional
aftermarket gauges to keep tabs on engine revs, oil pressure and
operating temperature, and at the center of the dash, a Pioneer
AM/FM/CD stereo with both an auxiliary jack and Bluetooth
connectivity sits in place of the original to offer plenty of
listening options. Additional comfort and convenience features
include smooth power steering, air conditioning, power seats,
locks, windows and mirrors, and cruise control.
The fuel injected 5.7-liter LT1 V8 standing by beneath the hood is
in great shape. It idles smoothly, pulls with conviction, and sits
in a well-maintained compartment, surrounded by fresh wires and
hoses. The engine pairs with a 4-speed automatic 4L60E transmission
and exhales into a dual exhaust leading out to an aftermarket
muffler that gives this Chevy a nice, throaty sound. Because the
Impala SS shares a common lineage to its stablemate the Caprice's
police configuration, it also features a sport-tuned suspension to
give it increased agility, while 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with
drilled and slotted rotors bring its set of 17" wheels wrapped with
Nitto tires showing plenty of tread to fade-resistant stops.
With its strong running condition and storied legacy, this 1994
Chevrolet Impala SS would be a great fit for someone who has an
appreciation for automotive history and wants a strong running,
special edition ride. Call today!
