Numbers matching, partial build sheet, inspected by Galen Govier, 1303 on NASCAR list, No. 1384 of 1935 of Superbirds Built, Chrysler Registry and signed by Richard Petty. 1969 cast iron 6 bbl installed during restoration ,since replaced with 4 bbl intake and new carb ,fuel sending unit, fuel pump and fuel vapor separator. New fuel tank installed during restoration. Mileage on Superbird when put back together was 93,108 on 4/10/2004. Put on new tires this spring. Installed 3:23 sure grip. Replaced pinion seal with original style leather encased National oil seal ($50.00), also new gasket , pumpkin remains dry. Original 3:55 sure grip and 6 bbl go with car. Installed 32 tooth speedometer gear. Speedometer is right on..Tach sits at 2400 rpm’s at 55 mph. New rubber seals that encapsulates airflow through nose into radiator, engine temp stays between 170 and 190 degrees (all gauges work). Car performed well during 500 mile trip. Alignment is perfect. Trans shifts excellent. Engine used half pint of oil (1/4 of a quart) driving at 70 mph most of the way. Engine oil pressure runs between 40 and 60 pounds. Rebuilt P.S. pump, new high pressure hose. New rebuilt single point distributor, also rebuilt brake master cylinder. Has new headlight vacuum canister that sits below battery tray. Headlights function properly. Radio and beep beep horn sound good. Vent windows and floor vents work as good as A.C. when driving. Car is a hit at car shows, everywhere you go. Many, many compliments. Could sit in any showroom.
