For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 in Columbus, Ohio

Vehicle Description

Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this gorgeous numbers-matching 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28! This beautiful Camaro was born at the Norwood plant in 1970 as a Daytona Yellow Z28 with Black stripes, but what we have today is a slick, deep, and glossy Black paint job with White stripes (and the same engine and transmission it has had since it left the factory). The black paint was an excellent choice and it looks fantastic on this car. The iconic front end looks great with headlight bezels, bumper, and grill surround all in good condition. A black chin spoiler gives the front end the finishing touch. Z28 badges are found on the grill, both front fenders, and the trunk lid - and are like new. All of the window glass is in good condition and the windshield and rear window are surrounded by bright trim. Looking down the sides you'll see dual body-color side mirrors, bright door handles, and chrome rocker trim. In the rear are a 1-piece spoiler on the trunk lid, round Corvette-style tail lights, dual exhaust exits, and a shining bumper. This whole package sits atop gray factory 5-spoke wheels wrapped in correct Goodyear Polyglas GT bias ply tires. Lift the hood to reveal the original numbers-matching LT1 solid lifter V-8 resting in a tidy stock engine bay dressed in flat black paint. The LT1 is topped with a 4-barrel carburetor, finned valve covers with cross-flags logo, and a chrome topped air cleaner with 350 ci 360hp Turbofire sticker. The original smog equipment from 1970 is still present and hooked up. Also present are a power steering unit and a power brake booster with dual reservoir. Hoses, wires, and belts all appear to be newer. The LT1 is mated to a numbers-matching 4-speed Muncie transmission and a 12 bolt rear end with 3:73 Posi-traction - this baby is ready to lay down some rubber! When you open the driver's door the courtesy light illuminates a standard black vinyl interior in excellent condition. The long door panels are in good shape and the driver's side has an internal control for the side mirror. The door seals look like they have recently been replaced and the door sill plate with Fisher Body logo looks brand new. The "Strato bucket" seats look like new and feature the one-year only adjustable headrests. Between the seats is a center console with armrest, storage box, and the Hurst steel ball shifter for the 4-speed Muncie transmission. The rear seat consists of a bench back with two bucket bottoms due to the large transmission tunnel running through the center. The rear package tray is in great condition with no speakers in it. The dashpad is free of cracks and warping and the gauge cluster surround is in fantastic shape with trim that is still bright. There are gauges for fuel, amps, speedometer, tachometer, and water temp as well as a clock - it all works with the exception of the clock. The steering wheel is a factory 2-spoke model with wood-grain inlay in the center. There is a working AM/FM Delco push-button radio in the dash for some cruisin' music and there are 2-speed wipers in case you get caught unexpectedly by rain. As far as the climate controls go, the fan blows strong and the heat is hot. Above head is a tight black vinyl headliner and under-foot is black hook loop carpet. Back in the trunk you'll find a hounds-tooth vinyl mat lining the bottom as well as a spare tire on a factory wheel and period-correct jack. This real-deal '70 Z28 packs a whole lot of bang for the buck - numbers-matching LT1 and Muncie 4-speed, super-slick black paint, comfortable and correct interior, and some tire-smokin' posi-traction power in the rear! These second gen Camaro's of this caliber are really on the upswing with collectors, so don't wait to give us a call and be the one who gets to put this beauty in their garage!
