Classic Car Addict is excited to present this one-owner 2005
Chrysler PT Cruiser GT turbo with 12,249 miles for sale in our
Mesa, AZ showroom. When Chrysler's PT Cruiser burst on the scene
for 2000, Daimler-Chrysler discovered its hot potential painfully
cooled by the fact that it could not build Cruisers quickly enough
to meet demand.
In the GT model you'll find a turbo-charged version of the 2.4L i4,
delivering 220 horsepower and 245 lb.-ft. of torque, and averaging
21/27 miles to the gallon. Like the standard i4, this one is paired
to a 4-speed automatic in front wheel drive. It looks like an SUV,
but it's more of a compact car, with a modest 46.7 inches of hip
room in the back. On the other hand, there's plenty of head room
and the suspension rides nice and smooth.
This PT Cruiser is finished in black clear coat paint and shines
beautifully in the sun and under those streetlights while you
cruise. Chrome accents were added to the exterior; body color
grille with chrome accents, front body is color and chrome fascia,
chrome bodyside moldings, and a bright fuel filler door. The
Cruiser rolls on 17" x 6.0 chrome aluminum wheels and has new
Ironman iMove Gen 3 tires 215/50R17's on all four tires.
The heated front bucket seats and a 50/50 split-folding rear bench
are upholstered in dark slate gray leather. Body-color trim accents
the two-tone dashboard, and amenities include a satin silver gear
selector knob, air conditioning, cruise control, a factory sound
system with a six-disc CD changer, and power windows, locks, and
mirrors. The seats are in excellent condition, no rips, or tears.
The four-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in leather and sits ahead
of a three-pod instrument cluster that includes a 140-mph
speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge for fuel
level and coolant temperature.
The turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four was shared with the
contemporary Dodge Neon SRT-4 but featured a revised intake
manifold, intercooler, and turbocharger plumbing. Factory-rated
output was 215 horsepower and 245 lb.-ft of torque. Power is sent
to the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle with
an AutoStick shifter that allows for manual gear selection.
This PT will be sold on a clean Arizona title. Call Classic Car
Addict for more information, 480-256-1459.
