Vehicle Description
Beautifully hand crafted by the gifted artisans of Crewe, England,
the original Mark I series Silver Spirits and long wheelbase Silver
Spurs offered the pinnacle of luxury throughout their production
from 1980 until 1989. With roughly 625 of the popular Silver Spur
units produced per year, each one commanded a premium price and
were generally special ordered specifically for their original
owners.
We are very proud to offer this gorgeous 1989 Rolls Royce Silver
Spur finished in classic Black with matching Everflex hood over Tan
hides with black piping. Factory appointed features include
all-aluminum 6.75L V8 with Bosch injection, automatic transmission,
climate-controlled HVAC system, 4-wheel power disc ABS brakes,
hydropneumatic self-leveling rear suspension, full power
accessories, and upgraded Nardi steering wheel.
Boasting a calculated 5 owners from new, it has been beautifully
cared for and meticulously maintained from new! Ordered through Los
Angeles based Boulevard Communications, it would originally sell
through British Royal Motor Cars in Houston, TX to the original
owner in a lease program. It would later travel to Fort Lauderdale
in 1993 with the second owners until 2002, then head across the
country once more to Las Vegas where it would remain until 2012.
Since then, two local Rolls Royce Owner's Club members would
possess this car residing here in the St. Louis area.
It has all original paint with the exception of some minimal paint
correction at the front around the headlights to remove visible
imperfections completed in April 2016. The original seat leathers
have never been redyed along with gorgeous interior woodwork and
the factory lamb's wool floor mats. The original Pioneer cassette
radio was replaced with a more modern Pioneer AM/FM/CD unit
sometime in the past still residing the stock dash location. The
original small tool set, all tiring changing equipment, and spare
Castor mineral oil in the storage compartment are all present
inside the trunk.
It will also come with all original books & manuals, mileage
documentation, all service records back to September 2012
indicating all brake calipers rebuilt in 2012/2013, a rebuild of
the air conditioning system in 2016 with new compressor and
receiver dryer, new tires in the summer of 2017, all four brake
accumulator spheres in 2021, among other items too lengthy to list
here. Most recently in April 2023, it received new engine motor
mounts; valve cover gaskets & isolators; rear brake lines, hose, &
brake pads; parking brake pads, front & rear brake pump feed hoses;
