The Lincoln Mark III, also known as the Continental Mark III, was introduced for the 1969 model year. A series of luxury coupes, the Mark III was created and named to be the spiritual successor to the Continental Mark II. The Mark III was available with a 7.5L V8 coupled to the C-6 three speed automatic transmission.
This Mark III is a nice presentation of Lincoln Continental luxury. Original except for a respray sometime in the past.
Medium Aqua blue with black vinyl top exterior and interior. Shows some signs of its 54 years.
460 CI v8 coupled to the C-6 3 speed automatic transmission are original to the car.
Starts good and runs good.
AC works
Front windows work. The two back windows do not work.
Headlight shutters stay closed as long as the engine is running.
Replaced the oil sender unit , but it still has a small oil leak.
Has developed a small power steering leak.
Transmission, Brakes, drive train was checked by certified mechanics, I was told to drive it and have fun. New master cylinder installed, brake lines flushed, new brake fluid.
Body has some rust around bottom of vinyl top. A few scratches on paint. Rust around trunk lock.
Tires are black wall 2 years old.
Its been a fun car and it turns heads but I have the reduce my collection.
