The English Ford 100E Escort was introduced in 1953 and built through 1959. This last-model-year Estate Wagon was imported to the U.S. and titled as a 1960. While the early history is unknown, it was acquired by the previous owner on December 17, 1987 from Monterey (California) Jaguar/Rolls Royce in original condition with an odometer reading of 14,729 miles. The owner and his wife drove it home from Monterey to Portland, Oregon (a distance of 735 miles) without incident.
Over the following 33 years the car was part of a private collection. Always maintained by a personal mechanic, it has been regularly serviced and driven locally for pleasure an on some car club tours. As part of the regular maintenance, the engine was pulled from the car, the head removed and all of the gaskets were replaced. Newer radial tires. Brakes were also renewed at 18,320 miles. The car currently shows 19,420 miles, which are believed to be correct from new.
In all-around excellent original condition. Body is straight, accident-free. Paint is very good and shows beautifully. Very good original chrome. Original interior is very good with no rips or tears. The rear seat easily folds to make a flat floor for hauling cargo. Excellent carpet and headliner.

Mechanically excellent. The 71.5 cubic inch, 36 horsepower 4 cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly with no smoke or issues. 3-speed manual transmission with floor shifter. Original 12 volt electrical system with Optima battery. Rated at 25.2 MPG. All gauges work and register accurately. Includes owners manual, shop manual and books related to the car.

There is little to add. It is unusual to find an English Ford Escort is this amazing original condition and with such low mileage. If you've been looking for one, I doubt there is a better one out there that has been better maintained.
