57’ MGA Convertible, garaged since 1980, very solid car , straight, the only rust that is concerning is on the passenger side rocker(see pictures). I bought this 2 years ago, my grandfather used to restore these in the 1980s and I always wanted one! I am simply getting rid of this becouse of space, I have inherited a 47 Willy’s which will be put in its place until I can make room after my kids college to find another MGA. The motor turns, does not run, seems to shift through all gears, passenger side rear drum brakes must have been locked up, because the previous owner had the drum in the trunk. So needless to say the brakes aren’t working, you will need a trailer, the original color can be seen, I cannot remember the name of the color. It appears that someone had used a jack under the radiator/radiator valence at some point which valance is an easy repair, not sure if the integrity of the radiator was sacrificed or not. There is small amounts of body filler in drivers side rear( see pictures). Chrome is all there, not perfect but repairable. Dents and dings throughout, wood floors are not rotted yet not the most desirable. Hood/truck/ bonnet needs to be worked on, once again repairable. Windshield is cracked. There is a large dent in driver side rear apart from the small amount of body filler I’d say around the size of maybe a volleyball indent ( see photo). This car is 95% complete. Battery pans and supports are needing replacement. Sounds like alot, I’ve bought enough Pontiacs online site unseen that I feel it’s more important to express the bad vs. the good when buying/selling classics. This is my first MGA I’ve purchased and I happened to stumble upon it for sale on the roadside. The pictures speak for themselves, if you need any more photos or information feel free to email or text me. Thanks.
