Description:
This 1972 Chevrolet Nova coupe is powered by a 383ci stroker V8
that is said to be equipped with a Lunati hydraulic roller
camshaft, AFR aluminum cylinder heads, JE pistons, a Holley 750-cfm
carburetor, and Hooker Competition headers. The TH350 three-speed
automatic transmission was rebuilt with a shift kit and a 3,500-rpm
stall torque converter, and the car is finished in purple over
black. Additional equipment includes an Edelbrock intake manifold,
MSD electronic ignition components, power-assisted steering and
front disc brakes, rear traction bars, Cragar 15? wheels, AutoMeter
instrumentation, a Kenwood CD stereo, and a Hurst shifter.
Interior:
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in
black vinyl upholstery complemented by a color-coordinated
dashboard, headliner, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes
a floor-mounted Hurst shifter, a fire extinguisher, an aftermarket
center console with dual cupholders, a custom switch and fuse
panel, a shift light, and a Kenwood CD stereo wired to aftermarket
speakers. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames an AutoMeter
160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The
five-digit odometer shows 2,800 miles, and true mileage is
unknown.
Exterior:
The body is finished in purple and is said to have been repainted
under prior ownership. Details include an SS-style hood, grille,
and tail panel as well as chrome bumpers, dual mirrors, and hood
pins. Paint blemishes are shown up close in the gallery and
outlined in the video.
Drivetrain:
The 383ci stroker V8 was installed under prior ownership and is
equipped with 11:1 compression, a Lunati hydraulic roller camshaft,
AFR aluminum cylinder heads, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, and JE
Pistons. Additional features include an Edelbrock intake manifold,
a Holley 750-cfm carburetor, Hooker Competition headers, and an MSD
6AL electronic ignition controller, Blaster coil, and distributor.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH350 three-speed
automatic transmission that has been rebuilt with a shift kit, a
3,500-rpm stall torque converter, and a B&M finned pan. The
10-bolt rear axle is fitted with a Trick Flow differential cover,
and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers has been
installed. Chrome Cragar 15? wheels are mounted with 165/60 Federal
Super Steel 657 front tires and 275/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A
white-letter rear rubber. A non-matching spare is located in the
trunk. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering and rear
traction bars, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs
and rear drums. A front brake-line lock has been fitted.
