BEST PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED 1987 4X4 SUZUKI SAMURAI - PERFECT
VEHICLE TO TOW BEHIND AN RV OF ANY SIZE! JUST HAD SMOGGED. Look
Close at this 1987 4X4 Suzuki Samurai it is one of the best in
Southern California in my opinion, as well as most of my Automotive
Industry Enthusiast Friends. It will not disappoint and the fit,
quality and finish is nothing like 98% of the Samurai's on the
market. The 1.3L 4 cylinder runs strong and smooth considering it
has 63 Horsepower from the factory. With its 5 Speed Manual
Transmission it still only goes 60+ mph with one person, however I
do weigh 250lbs FYI, but is more than fun, not to mention a huge
attention getter. The compression is near 150 on all cylinders
which is very good on a 36 year old unmolested vehicle. Engine
compartment is very nice original paint, cam cover, air cleaner and
exhaust manifold cover have all been powder coated. New NGK plug
wires, battery, NGK plugs, cap, rotor, filters etc. have all been
replaced. My Samurai also has a custom made Hood Prop Rod and
Hardware, most images of other Samurais show hood open and leaning
on windshield, I bought 3 hood rods from 3 different stores, all of
them didn't fit right. This seems like a minor detail but is
another example of detail on this Sammy. A new free flow California
Legal exhaust system was installed and added a little performance
and nice exhaust note. I was told Most of the original 129391 miles
(only 29391 shows on the original odometer) on this Samurai were
from being flat towed with the tow bar behind a motorhome, this is
quite common. I have replaced complete Speedometer Cluster because
Fuel and Temp Gauges did not function and the Gauge Cluster was
faded. I have read owners have pulled these super awesome little
things 2500 to 3000 miles with transfer case in Neutral. My
experience towing was only a couple hundred to San Diego and
Temecula Wine Country and was very easy. The complete Turn Signal,
Wiper and Flasher Switch combo on the column.
