Vehicle Description
A sad story on this 540I 6 speed manual BMW which is NOT RUNNING.
This vehicle was a trade-in from our photographer. He bought it in
May of 2022 with 158,536 miles. New tires Michelin tires were
installed, mufflers, and a major service (about $6,000 still
waiting on the receipt) at BMW of Augusta, GA. Another shop here
locally did some additional maintenance. He told BMW to do all the
maintenance it needed to keep the car on road for many years to
come. Part of that service was not the timing chain guides. When he
was on a road trip the 540i broke down and was then towed to our
facility. We got the engine to turn over but heard noise leading us
to believe the timing chain guides failed. We have not looked into
the issues any further and will not be. Another complete 540I
engine is available for an additional amount which the buyer can
hear running. Contact us for more information. The pictures are
from 2022 when he purchased the BMW as the vehicle is currently
stationary in our parking lot. So it has another year and 10,000
miles of driving since those pictures are taken. We can share a
walk around video in it's current location. The M Parallel wheels
and Michelin tires are not included with the sale price and vehicle
will come with a roller set of wheels and tires.
