Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present this cool 1966
Chrysler Imperial. The Chrysler Imperial, introduced in 1926, was
Chrysler's top-of-the-line vehicle for much of its history. The
company positioned the cars as a prestige marque to rival Cadillac,
Continental, Lincoln, Duesenberg, Pierce-Arrow, Cord, and Packard.
The adjective 'Imperial' according to Webster's Dictionary means
sovereign, supreme, superior or of unusual size or excellence. The
word Imperial thus justly befits Chrysler's highest-priced model.
With the exterior bathed in Daffodil Yellow and once you swing the
massive doors open, and we are swimming in a sea of tuck and roll,
piping, and smooth black leather. Powering this Chrysler is a V8
backed by a 3-Speed Torqueflight transmission. Just sitting inside
this car we are in the lap of luxury and comfort. It started right
up, idled smoothly, and took off with lots of power. It's a cruiser
and provides a smooth ride. Don't miss your chance to own this
piece of automotive history.
